i find this to be a WHOLE lot easier and safer compared to the method that wygonin showed us in his video. check it out in the related videos and youll see what i mean.
i found that on the controllers, the security pin is easy to break off, maybe its the same on the console and if it means saving a few dollars, its work atleast trying
@DaaMagicMan yeh its a torque (t-12 in this situation) i live in australia and you can get a set of all sizes from tandy for like 15 dollars..should be able to find one somewhere
Damn thx a lot my xbox was so full of dust……… It took me about 30 mins just to clean tge dust out. My xbox would over heat every 10 to 15 min even when it was already cooled to room temerature. Used yo put ice packs on it but that stopped working. Took the case off, andBLAM! Ten tons of solid dust. 0_o
those 8 screws hold down the heatsinks for the CPU and the GPU… if your are trying to take out the motherboard, you would need take them out also in addition with the golden/yellow colored short screws
Yeah, you do because Microshaft designed it so it kind of straddles part of the top half of the case while being attached to two pins on the inside of the case. Nice…
You might think so but actually no. More outside air gets to it but the air isn’t flowing over the components very much and thus removing the heat. With the case closed, the fans are able to suck air in and through the heatsinks and then out the back which keeps the chips cool and circulating new air in and out.

We just used a regular flathead and opened every screw, no t12… Thanks for the guide though. its working better than ever!
i couldn’t take the last screws of my fucking xbox
Don’t use a vaccum, the sucking can cause static. Use the blower only.
i cant pop the part where the hard drive goes out.. suggestions…
cant open my shit!!!!!
Thank you so much i really found this video informative.

yeah my screws fucked up and I was wondering can I just pull of the back cover of the xbox and clean it?
oh yes. there are many different smaller divisions of microsoft like this one that create shit products.
o nice, ive never seen a Mircoshaft xbox before
so you dont have to take out the 8 black screws in the middle??
