@eggman18 Agreed. Whats realistic about sprinting 50 miles/hour, jumping off buildings, nuking yourself as a reward and having the ability to lunge several kilometers to stab some “laggy douche” with your tiny knife? Its a fun game, at times, but there is no sneaking or tactics about it.

If anything, Gears is more tactical than any example you just mentioned. Uncharted is platformer/action. As for CoD, that’s anything BUT tactical & realistic buddy. You want realism, ARMA & pre-3 SOCOM. You want a much slower Quake/Uunreal Tourney, CoD. I honestly laugh at you mentioning stealth when almost no one does that online & there’s maybe one or two missions in the campaign, the rest were scripted by Michael Bay himself.
@eggman18 okay first of all, i wasnt calling Gears and Uncharted the same, i was using them as examples of different types of games.. and CoD is tactical FPS because its realistic and encourages sneaking around and hiding. a non tactical FPS would be like Quake or Unreal Tournament…. i never said Gears and Uncharted are the same…. damn….

@eggman18 i never said that there wasn’t different kinds of shooters, im just saying that the over-production of first person shooters is getting annoying. more people should be doing more action oriented games like uncharted and gears of war other than tactical games like call of duty and medal of honor. what ever happened to those good old Contra games??

Different kinds of shooters exist, buddy. Hell I wouldn’t doubt a huge number aren’t beyond sick & tired of the same old miltary garbage that’s been pumped out for the last 4 years. About time we get something that’s over-the-top & funny in a way just like Duke & Sam, hopefully this starts a small revival at least.
